With the support of CCN Holding, a subsidiary of IC İbrahim Çeçen Investment Holding, 7.000 trees were planted in an area of 60 decare at the opening of the “Ibrahim Çeçen Foundation Memorial Forest” created in cooperation with the Governorship and the Forest Management Directorate near the airport.
Ibrahim Çeçen Foundation Director Meral Dinçer, who stated that as a volunteer organization, they are trying to do something for the environment, ecology and a sustainable future, said:
“We completed the groundwork of 60 decare of forest area. We renewed the fences around the forest. We built a road to the area. We wish this forest to be an exemplary project in terms of being a region of our beautiful Ağrı province that grows and flourishes with the awareness of sustainable development and environmental awareness. This commemorative forest we have built is the first of its kind established by private enterprise in the region. It is also the first registered commemorative forest in Ağrı This forest is a part of our love for nature and our desire and goal to leave a green world for future generations.”
